“Dim, friendly basement bar”

Lowbar is the bar underneath The Basement East on Woodland Street, opened in October 2024 by Basement owners Dave Brown and Mike Grimes with help from the Rosemary and Beauty Queen team. You enter through the alley (or the venue's back deck on show nights) into a dim room with karaoke, darts, billiards and a rhinoceros head. Happy hour runs 5 to 8 PM on weekdays with 2-for-1 drafts and palomas and $4 Rumple Minze; pool is free during happy hour and darts are free all night. Food trucks park out Thursday to Saturday, and it stays open until 2 or 3 AM. It's 21+ only.
