The Local’s Take
“Loud, decorated R&B supper club”
SOUL is a big R&B and soul music restaurant off Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch, from Nashville native and former promoter John Smith, who opened the first SOUL on Charlotte Pike in 2022 (that one closed in February 2026). The room seats around 300 with floral decor, custom booths and neon affirmations, and live bands and DJs play on weekends. The menu runs from lamb chops and catfish platters to bang bang shrimp, wings and pasta. Happy hour usually runs 5 to 7 PM, and the busy weekend brunch goes from about 11 AM to 4 PM. Closed Mondays.
