Teddy's Tavern sits half a block off Broadway on Rep. John Lewis Way, across from Bridgestone Arena, in what it calls the oldest building on Lower Broadway. It has three levels: a main floor with live music, a second-floor lounge and the partially covered Rose Garden Rooftop looking at the arena. The kitchen runs burgers, hot chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders and fried Oreos until midnight Thursday to Saturday, and the drafts are mostly Fat Bottom beers brewed for the bar, like Teddy Loves Pilsner, plus $5 Music City Light pints all day, every day. It is a handy Preds pregame or post-concert stop that is cheaper than the honky-tonks next door.
