Groceries Etc. calls itself East Nashville's neighborhood vinyl listening room: a cocktail bar on South 16th Street, just off Woodland, where the record on the turntable is the point. It opens at 4 PM every day and stays open until 11 PM most nights and 1 AM on Friday and Saturday. Happy hour, which the bar calls 'Fresh Pressed', starts at opening, with one record played start to finish while the deals run. A good, quiet first stop before dinner in Lockeland Springs or Five Points.
