The Local’s Take

“Cozy ski-lodge bar with a fire-pit patio”

Embers is the après-ski bar at 2410 12th Ave S, opened by Lars Kopperud and Mike Dolan, the longtime owners of the former Mafiaoza's next door. Think wood paneling, fire pits on the patio, a deep whiskey list and a gastropub menu with lobster rolls, Belgian-style hand-cut fries, wings and burgers.

It is one of the few true neighborhood bars left on the strip, and the shotski is a rite of passage. Happy hour runs 3–7 PM with 2-for-1 drafts and bottles and $6 house wines, and the bar stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
