The Local’s Take
“Small, bright, counter-style taqueria”
Ofelia is chef-founder Max Adler's Mexico City taco shop in the bright pink former Nashville Street Taco space on 12th Ave S. It started as a pop-up and opened here in early 2026 with about 20 bar seats and 20 table seats. The signature is a blue corn tortilla with a layer of crispy griddled cheese, topped with prime ribeye, chicken, or zucchini and corn.
Margaritas use Don Julio Blanco and Cointreau, and the mezcal hibiscus is the one regulars talk about. Happy hour is Friday 3–6 PM. Hours are short (closed Monday and Tuesday, lunch only Wednesday and Thursday), so check before you go.
