The Local’s Take

“Rustic-upscale dining room plus a fire-pit beer garden”

Urban Grub took over an old carwash at 12th and Gilmore in 2012 and turned it into one of the bigger rooms on the strip: a dining room with a raw bar, a patio and beer garden with fire pits and private cabanas, and an indoor-outdoor bar. The menu leans Southern with fresh fish, oysters (raw or wood-fired), smoked meats and dry-aged beef.

Weekend brunch starts at 10:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday, with Bennies, chicken and cornbread waffles, a seafood and charcuterie bar, and a $12 Bloody Mary. Complimentary valet helps on a street where parking is tight. At brunch the seafood and charcuterie bar is $58 all you can eat, $38 for one pass or $31 with an entree.
