“Old-school Nashville steakhouse in a historic house”

Jimmy Kelly's has been serving steaks in the old house on Louise Avenue since 1934, a year after Prohibition ended, and it is one of the oldest restaurants in Nashville. Local owners took over in 2022 and renovated, adding more bars, a bigger wine list and an upstairs patio, while keeping the clubby rooms and fireplaces.

Happy hour is Monday to Saturday, 4 to 6 PM. The bar-only bites menu is the budget way in: $12 Prime wagyu sliders, a $12 onion ring tower, $13.50 million dollar deviled eggs and $16.50 Southern fried oysters, versus $84 for the Bootlegger Ribeye in the dining room.
