The Local’s Take

“Casual, family-friendly Mexican cantina”

The Hayes Street Las Palmas sits a block off West End in Midtown and is one of nine locations of the local Mexican group that has been around Nashville for more than 25 years. Expect the full Tex-Mex lineup: cheese dip, fajitas, tacos al carbon and the LP Special, with margaritas from $7.25.

The building is known for its La Catrina Gone Country mural (2023, Music City Murals), which puts Dolly, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson around a Day of the Dead Catrina. Happy hour is Sunday to Thursday, 4 to 7 PM: half off regular house margaritas and draft beer. Tuesday takes half off all tacos and Thursday half off the LP Special (dine-in), both 5 to 8 PM.
