El Palenque has been serving Green Hills from the Gallery at Green Hills on Crestmoor Road since 1990. The family started in Knoxville in 1981 and opened its first Nashville spot on Nolensville Road in 1988. It is a seat-yourself Mexican standby with outdoor tables, known for its cheese dip and a chicken soup regulars swear by, plus burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and a weekday lunch special from 11 AM to 2 PM. Regular margaritas are 35% off on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 PM.
