Green Hills Grille is the Richard Jones Road bar and grill a few minutes' walk from The Bluebird Cafe. The original ran for about 20 years before closing in 2008, and a former staffer, Steven Smithing, brought it back in 2015 with the old favorites: salmon dip, coconut chicken tenders, enchiladas and shrimp and grits. Happy hour runs every day, 2:30-6:30 PM, with $8.50 cocktails, $4.50 domestic beer and $9 bites, and wine bottles are half off all day. Weekend brunch adds steak and eggs, hot chicken and waffles and French toast.
