“Pass-the-bowls Southern supper table”

Monell's is the original family-style Southern spot in an old Germantown house: you sit at big shared tables with strangers and pass bowls of skillet fried chicken, cheese grits, biscuits and gravy and whatever else the kitchen made that day. The all-you-can-eat Country Breakfast runs every morning, and on weekends it is the de facto brunch: $18.95 per adult, served until 1 PM on Saturday and 11 AM on Sunday before Sunday lunch takes over.
