“Retro steakhouse with a stage”

Star Rover Sound is the steak-dinner-and-live-music room next door to The Optimist on Adams Street, from the same team (Le Loup is the cocktail bar upstairs). Dinner runs Wednesday through Sunday with a band on the schedule most nights. Weekend brunch is 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and it is a diner-style menu: a $10.95 Star Rover Stack of hotcakes, Chicken Fried Chicken with bacon gravy, Steak & Eggs and a $16.95 SRS Brunch Burger with a fried egg. Brunch cocktails are $11.95, including a frozen espresso martini.
